“We tell ourselves stories in order to live”
Hi, I’m Saisie Moore, a Portland-based, UK-born copywriter, editor, and journalist who’d like to forgo the third person narrative in this section. Thanks. Whether living in Maine, London, or far from indoor plumbing in a converted Chevy Astro van, I am constantly translating the bewildering experience of life into stories that make sense.
Over the years, I’ve worked for The Daily Telegraph, Portland Monthly Magazine, and as a pen for hire. As a freelancer, I’ve worked with publications and brands to develop strategy and storytelling that cuts through the noise. My clients include: Atlas Etihad magazine; Portland Monthly Magazine; Activities Guide of Maine; Sotto il Sole; Maine The Way; Hippie Cow Beef Ranch; Planet Softball; and Eat, Drink, Lucky
Irrelevant but important: When I’m not at my laptop, I assuage my restlessness by attempting to become a better-than-mediocre mountain biker, hiker, skier, sailor, surfer, amateur gardener, and cabin-builder. You know the quote “It's better to do one thing well than ten things poorly”? Well, I guess I understand the sentiment…
